Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Launch Specification Price and More

After riding tremendous success and popularity of Redmi Note 4—a budget smartphone, Xiaomi is all geared up to launch its successor Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 soon; apparently the phone has cleared Chinese certification. Following this one can anticipate that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 could see a release almost year after Redmi Note 4 (as per the Indian release). 

Bearing in mind the success of the brand in the Indian Market, in fact, second biggest market outside China, Xiaomi is expected to open Redmi Note 5 for the Indian consumers soon after the launch back home.

According to leaks the successor to Redmi Note 4, which apparently recently cleared the CCC certification in China, could have a curtain raiser at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona. The event (MWC) is expected to kick off in the last week of February.

Many of you must be unaware of the Triple C clearance. It’s a mandatory certification requirement for electronic items before they can be imported or sold in the Chinese market. So with the recent clearance of CCC certificate, we can anticipate the late next month launch of Redmi Note 5.

Expectedly, the Redmi Note 5 will be sold in two different variants. While the Base model will be fixed with a Snapdragon 630 SoC, the higher end will have a Snanpdragon 636 SoC.

The smartphone screen possibly will get a 5.99-inch FullHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

32GB of internal storage and 3GB RAM will be included in the base variant, whereas the higher one will have a 64GB of in-build storage and 4GB RAM.

With dual camera in trend, the phone may just have a dual camera setup with a 16 Megapixel as primary lens and a 5 Megapixel as a secondary camera sensor. Apparently, the phone will be having an 8 Megapixel selfie-shooter. 

It may be powder by a 4100 mAH battery, which support fast charging, and ship with MIUI 9, and of course, it may also include a facial unlock technology.

With the Redmi Note 5 expected to be on sale in stores in Chine next month, we can expect it to be priced at approximately for INR 15,000 for the base model and INR 18,000 for the higher variant for the Indian market.
