New Google Assistant Features To Search for TV Schedules and And Set Music Alarms

Today, for the Google Assistant, Google is announcing a couple of small but useful new features. By using these features you can now set alarms to music and search for TV schedules.

Earlier, to start with setting up an alarm to music you like, you had to store it on your device. But this offering of Google, you can simply instruct the Google Assistant to “set an alarm for 6AM that plays A R Rehman,” and it’ll do the job and wake you up to any artist, playlist, or song you commanded for.

The alarm provides output with any music service you’ve set the Assistant to use by default, for instance, Yo Yo and Badshah, can both be used. Addition to this, using any songs uploaded to your Google Play Music library can also be used.

Talking about the newly introduced ability to search for TV schedules is about as simple as it seems: when you ask “when is Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chasma on next?” and it’ll answer you the schedule of next new episode or rerun is going to be. You have the option to ask “which channel airs Shaktimaan?” to fetch channel information and play time for the upcoming episode. When asked, both questions mainly worked, while the outcome didn’t come up correctly for every TV show, which was asked by users, even though Google heard every single word correctly.
