Users Report Redmi Note 5 Pro Volume Issue, Xiaomi Fixed With MIUI OTA Release

There have been complaints emerging about the Xiaomi Note 5 Pro, just after its last month launch. Many users faced the issue which decreases the volume output— especially while using a headset.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro users reported the defect on the Mi Community Forums.  In response, Xiaomi was quick to tackle the issue, by releasing an MIUI OTA update which is at currently rolling out to all the Redmi Note5 Pro users.

Notably, the recent Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 issue appeared just after the Face Unlock feature updated the device.

According to the post threads on the Mi Community, the actual issue has left an impact on some users due to low volume outputs while using headphones. But, when it comes to the volume output from the loudspeaker of the smartphone, apparently it appears to be working fine.

In an account of Gadgets 360, a Xiaomi representative said, "We received feedback from Redmi Note 5 Pro users about the audio output via the 3.5mm jack. We have addressed the issue and users are already starting to see an OTA (MIUI v9.2.5.0) update which fixes the issue." You can check the availability of the new update by going to the Settings > System updates option or by using the Updater app.

Xiaomi's Quick Response to Redmi Note 5 Pro Volume Issue

Xiaomi’s agile answer to the Redmi Note 5 Pro volume issue indicates that the Chinese mobile company is in no mood to loosen the grip and continue to make life harder for its contemporary.

Just after the launch of Redmi Note 5 Pro, last month, Xiaomi released MIUI 9.2.4 OTA update to provide its Face Unlock feature on the smartphone.

We can already say company’s strategy to grow in the Indian circuit is working fine. However, it would have been better if Xiaomi could provide ample Redmi Note 5 Pro handsets to its fans and users on the day of sale; so that it can stabilize their confidence in the brand.
