In the latest post on the OnePlus official forum, Pete Lau, the OnePlue CEO has confirmed that OnePlus 6 will be available in a 256GB storage option. This will be the first time for any OnePlus device to get 256 GB onboard storage. Lau also added that the expected smartphone will be loaded with 8GB of RAM.

As per the Lau’s post,“Understanding the relationship between people and smartphones, we brainstormed with our community of OnePlus users to learn what the users want most – a flexible, light and quick experience. Keeping these parameters at heart, we have conceptualized the OnePlus 6. To make this experience a reality we have established within our ranks a special R&D unit, called Team FSE (Fast, Stable, Efficient). The one goal of this unit is to ensure that we can transcend the current norm by providing our users with what we believe to be a truly ‘burdenless’ user experience.”

Today, Lau also shared a four-second clip, which testifies that the device will be called “OnePlus 6”; this diminished all the speculations floating about the device skipping the number “6”. Today’s teaser only lasted for four seconds.  However, it‘s the beginning of a stock of many more to come until the OnePlus 6 release.

There were a number of rumors about the 256 GB variant of OnePlus 6, but before the release of the device; this is the first time the company has officially talked about it. Further, OnePlus also said that the OnePlus 6 will get a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

Last week, the company co-founder, Cal Pei, also shared thatOnePlus 6 will feature a notch. It seems that the company is following the footprints of its sister brand Oppo, which also welcomed notch for its flagship Oppo F7 and R15 smartphones.  Actually, it is extensively believed that OnePlus well may imitate the design of the Opp R15 for OnePlus 6.
