Black Shark, the company supported by Xiaomi will be launching a gaming phone in China, on 13th April.  There are many details about the device have been revealed,  however,  for the first time, the image of the smartphone is leaked on the Chinese social media portal Weibo, thanks to Droidholic.

The claimed live picture of the gaming device appears to be covered in some kind of durable case.  The image of the case apparently hints the glimpse at gaming controls, but it's actually not easy to conclude where the case ends. According to the leaked details, Xiaomi-backed Black Shark could have an OLED screen coupled with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Further, the device is also tipped to feature a dual-camera setup on the rears. It is interesting to note, that the Xiaomi branding has vanished from the phone--but it is expected the company's involvement in some capacity.

In a recent appearance on AnTuTu benchmarks, the device gave the signs of being more than desirable. As per the leaked details,  the device will have an FHD+ screen (2160 x 1080). It will run on a Snapdragon 845 processor. The RAM is said to be 8GB with 32 Gigs of internal space. And it will come with  Android Oreo out of the box.

Black Shark gaming device scored a striking 270, 680 in the benchmark tests,  the score is as good as the Galaxy S9+ score of 265, 267.

Further information about the upcoming Black Shark device will be out after its release on Friday, 13 April.

Of late, we haven't seen many gaming-centric smartphones launch. As far as Black Shark goes, it seems that it would be directly pitted against the Razer, which was recently revealed by Razer Phone. It was a complete gaming smartphone having a 5.72 inch 1400 x 2560 IGZO display with a 120Hz refresh rates. It is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB RAM.

Xiaomi can be expected to deliver the high-end gaming device at a reasonable cost, as per the tradition of the company of bringing products at price points which under-cut the market.
