Apple is expected to reveal the next iterations of mobile operating systems- iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 in its annual developer conference commencing on June 7 this year. The changes of all sorts are provided at the start of summer to developers, in order to have ample time to update their app until the new iteration is officially released alongside new iPhones in the fall.

With iOS 15, It is rumored that Apple will bring in a fresh feature that will let users set different notification preferences according to your current status; this update set status with ease from the lock screen or the control center. Apparently, this will also let you use Siri for rapid status change. It could be “working”, “driving”, “sleeping”, or a custom category of your choice.

Further, it lets you configure how you want your device to notify you (or whether or not it should), for example, whether or not it should make a sound. Unfolding further, the new iOS 15 also provides an option to set auto-replies to messages as per your current status. This feature will enhance the auto-reply feature that only works while you are driving.

Sometime in the future, there will be upgrades to iMessage which will make it more like a social network and let the app compete better with Whatsapp. However, these have not been detailed yet and may not make it to iOS 15.

Speak about iPadOS 15, this should get home screen widgets; the ones which was added to iOS 14 the previous year, and finally this year these are making a move to tablets. Similar to iPhones, users will be able to place widgets anywhere they want on the home screen, and also will be able to replace the complete app grid with only widgets, if you wish to have it like that.

Lastly, both iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 will have enhanced privacy protections, including a new menu showing you which apps are secretly collecting your data.
