MIUI 12.5 stable update timeline revealed for several Mi & Redmi devices (Poco excluded), first batch rollout to complete by April 30

Earlier Xiaomi with its worldwide MIUI 12.5 launch announced that the company is looking to release the maiden instance of MIUI 12.5 stable; all commencing with their flagship smartphones in Q2 2021.

Xiaomi had put two batches for almost every eligible smartphone-- the first flagships like the MI 11 is all set to get the update at the beginning of April, this will be followed by several mid-range and budget smartphones that are expected to receive the update about the late Q2.

Certainly, this kind of information was kind of very vague and under the smokescreen--making the users all over the forums demanding the actual dates of the stable release for their smartphone upgrades.

However, it is great that now Xiaomi has drawn a slightly more specific timeline. This fresh tighter date was gathered from the China MI Community post, which gives out that the first batch of smartphones will get MIUI 12.5 stable by April 30.

Here are the Devices.

  • Mi 9 SE
  • Mi 10
  • Mi 10 Pro
  • Mi 10 Ultra
  • Mi 11

Almost every smartphone in the table has already been tested to MIUI 12.5 stable; if not main then at least in the stable beta form.

For your information, stable betas are basically stable ROMs that are rolled out to select users first for the sake of testing. Once the build has been deemed completely reliable and bug-free, it is released widely.

Thus, the mentioned timeline of April 30 is a good indicator that Xiaomi is geared up to complete a major rollout by these above-mentioned smartphones; well, at least in China.

Further, this will be likely followed by the second batch, which will get the first instance of MIUI 12.5 stable in the later days of May.  This particular list also mentions some flagship smartphones like the MI 11 Pro and MI 10S.

The other List:

  • Mi 10 Youth Edition
  • Mi 10S
  • Mi 11 Pro
  • Mi 11 Ultra
  • Mi CC9 Pro
  • Redmi 10X
  • Redmi 10X Pro
  • Redmi K30 5G
  • Redmi K30 Pro
  • Redmi K30i
  • Redmi K30S
  • Redmi K40
  • Redmi K40 Pro
  • Redmi Note 9 Pro

It is worthy to note that both mentioned devices list are China-specific and a worldwide rollout could take longer than the given dates on them.

Like always, territories such as Europe, India, and Indonesia get updates almost a month later after Chinese users. Sticking to this pattern, we can assess that the first batch should receive worldwide MIUI 12.5 stable by May and the second should follow by June.

However, this is all only guesswork at this moment. We shall continue to follow up on the topic for future updates and unfold further about MIUI 12.5 stable, so stay connected.
