Xiaomi's recent patent of a new smartphone which has a unique camera design making a buzz in the smartphone market. This design  showcases a smartphone with a rear camera module which resembles a thunderbolt.

It was reported by LetsGoDigital, that Xiaomi had filed a new patent with a unique smartphone design initially in October 2020 and the grant was finally published on 20th April 2021. The complete patent includes 32 products in the company's shared image along with a little description about them. As we can see the images indicate a sleek design which also has a full  front screen body on the front , no physical buttons to be seen on the device; all giving this design a futuristic vibe.

In the front we can see no signs of a punch hole or notch for the camera; so we can suspect that Xiaomi could go with an under display camera display. Talking about the most notable aspect of the patent design- the smartphone design comes with a uniquely designed thunderbolt fashioned camera module. The patent shows three different variants of the camera module: one is horizontal; second and third are vertically positioned in the top and middle corner.

The patent indicates that the thunderbolt module is equipped with two image sensors in the middle whereas the outer part of it boasts two LED flashes. It is a bit of surprise that the camera slightly protrudes from the rear panel. Unfortunately, it is yet to be cleared that Xiaomi is working on these products for market or concept design. As soon as we have further details on this we will update.
