XIAOMI RELEASES MIUI 12.5 STABLE VERSION – SEVEN DEVICES NOW GETTING THE UPDATE

Xiaomi, for quite some time, is working on the MIUI 12.5 update. In the phase of testing the company provided the beta version to many of its devices. And today, in an official announcement the company shared details about the rolling out of the first batch of MIUI 12.5 stable version, evidently the roll out will be placed in batches. Hence we can't expect smartphones to get an update in a single instance.
Xiaomi has listed the seven devices which will receive the MIUI 12.5 update in this first batch. The list opens with Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, then moves ahead with Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11, Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 and closes with Mi 9 SE. The gist of the matter is that the Mi 11 series, the Mi 10 series, and the Mi 9 SE are slated to get the first batch update. While these are Xiaomi's most recent offerings in the Flagship race since the past two years, it's not a surprise that these devices are first in line to get the MIUI stable update.

The company is yet to share the regions where the update is currently rolling out, however it is evident that OTA updates generally roll out gradually. So taking this as a reference point; it's safe to say that these series will also not have an update at the same time. In case you are still awaiting an OTA prompt, worry not, it will pop up in your devices in the coming weeks. Or you can go to Settings – My Device – About this phone to check for new system updates.
