Mi has been actively launching high-end smartphones, expanding its portfolio. Previously, the company launched the Redmi K40 and Mi 10S smartphones powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.

According to new reports, the company is expected to release three new devices this year that will incorporate the Snapdragon 870 chipset. However, more details about those devices are still unknown.
It features the Snapdragon 870 chipset, which is a 7nm chipset, and its CPU core is clocked at 3.2GHz, 100 megaHertz higher as opposed to the Snapdragon 865 Plus. This phone is equipped with an Adreno 650 GPU and a Snapdragon X55 5G modem that works in mmWave and sub-6GHz ranges. Additionally, it has Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 support, and Quick Charge 4+.

It seems that the Snapdragon 870 SoC exists since manufacturers have been demanding a cheaper chipset for flagship smartphones that cost significantly less than premium devices. The chipset is essentially a flagship killer.

Xiaomi is not the only company with devices powered by the SD870 chipset. Motorola, OPPO, and iQOO among other companies have released their SD870-powered devices or are currently working on the launch of their SD870 phones.
